Preparation Instructions
Prepare the Tofu
Press the tofu to remove excess moisture. Wrap it in a clean kitchen towel and place a heavy object on top for about 15 minutes.
Marinate the Tofu
Cut the pressed tofu into 1-inch cubes and place them in a bowl. Add olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss to coat evenly. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Cook the Tofu
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated tofu cubes and cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until they are golden brown.
Add BBQ Sauce
Reduce the heat to low, pour the BBQ sauce over the tofu cubes, and gently stir to coat. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to caramelize slightly.
Garnish and Serve
Remove from heat. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
