Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, rice wine, five-spice powder, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Whisk together until well mixed.
- 2
Marinate the Ribs
Place the pork ribs in a large resealable plastic bag or a dish and pour the marinade over the ribs. Make sure the ribs are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
Cooking
- 3
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 160°C (320°F).
- 4
Bake the Ribs
Line a baking tray with aluminum foil for easy cleanup. Place the marinated ribs on the tray, reserving the marinade. Cover the ribs with another layer of foil and bake in the preheated oven for 2 hours.
- 5
Glaze the Ribs
After 2 hours, remove the ribs from the oven and discard the top layer of foil. Brush the ribs generously with the reserved marinade. Increase the oven temperature to 200°C (400°F) and return the ribs to the oven, uncovered, for an additional 20-30 minutes, or until the ribs are caramelized and slightly charred.
- 6
Rest and Garnish
Once cooked, remove the ribs from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes. Slice the ribs and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
