Method

Preparation of Sauce

  1. 1

    Make the Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, add the Sicilian tomato sauce and bring to a simmer. Stir in the Mediterranean spices and let it cook for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Cooking the Meats

  1. 2

    Prepare the Meats

In a skillet over medium heat, add the Italian sausage and cook until browned. Once cooked, remove from heat and allow to cool slightly before slicing. Chop the mortadella, soppressata, and pepperoni into bite-sized pieces.

Assembling the Dish

  1. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked Italian sausage, mortadella, soppressata, pepperoni, and the prepared Sicilian tomato sauce. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly coated.

  2. 4

    Add Cheese

Spread the mixture evenly onto a baking dish. Top with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.

Baking

  1. 5

    Bake

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
