Prepare the Glass
Start by chilling your whiskey glass. You can do this by filling it with ice water and letting it sit while you prepare the drink.

Mix the Ingredients
In a mixing glass filled with ice, pour in 2 oz of Maker's Mark Bourbon and 0.5 oz of Disaronno Amaretto.

Add Bitters
Add 2 dashes of Angostura Bitters to the mixing glass.

Stir
Stir the mixture gently for about 30 seconds until well chilled.

Garnish
Express the oils from a piece of orange peel over the drink by holding it over the glass and giving it a gentle twist. Drop the peel into the drink as a garnish, and add a maraschino cherry.
