Cook the Pasta
In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Sauté the Shrimp
In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and season with salt and black pepper. Sauté until the shrimp are pink and cooked through, about 3-5 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Cook the Prosciutto
In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the prosciutto and sauté until crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and set aside with the shrimp.
Making the Sauce

Prepare the Sauce
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.

Add Cream and Season
Stir in the heavy cream, chopped rosemary, salt, and black pepper. Let simmer for about 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Incorporate the Cheese
Gradually add in the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and smooth. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Combine Pasta and Proteins
Add the cooked penne pasta, sautéed shrimp, and crispy prosciutto to the sauce. Toss until everything is well coated.

Serve the Penne Rustica hot, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese and fresh rosemary if desired.
