Method
Meatballs
Prepare the Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, eggs, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until everything is well incorporated.
Form the Meatballs
Using your hands, form the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake the Meatballs
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake the meatballs for 20-25 minutes or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
Spaghetti
Cook the Spaghetti
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Sauce
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add crushed tomatoes, chopped basil, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
Combine Meatballs and Sauce
Add the baked meatballs to the sauce and let them simmer together for an additional 5 minutes to absorb the flavors.
Serve
To serve, place a portion of spaghetti on a plate, top with meatballs and sauce, and garnish with extra Parmesan cheese if desired.
