Method

Cook Pasta

    Boil Water

    In a large pot, bring 4-6 quarts of water to a rolling boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt.

    Cook Fettuccine

    Add the fettuccine pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions, usually 8-10 minutes, until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare Shrimp

    Sauté Shrimp

    In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

    Cook Shrimp

    Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with 0.5 tsp of salt and 0.25 tsp of black pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Make Alfredo Sauce

    Melt Butter

    In the same skillet, add 1 cup of unsalted butter and melt over medium heat.

    Add Cream

    Once the butter is melted, stir in 1 cup of heavy cream. Bring to a gentle simmer.

    Add Cheese and Seasoning

    Gradually whisk in 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, 0.25 tsp of nutmeg, 0.5 tsp of salt, and 0.25 tsp of black pepper. Continue whisking until the sauce is smooth and creamy.

Combine Ingredients

    Combine Pasta and Shrimp

    Add the drained fettuccine and cooked shrimp to the Alfredo sauce. Toss gently to coat all ingredients evenly.

    Garnish and Serve

    Serve immediately, garnished with 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley.
