Prepare the Shrimp

Boil the Shrimp

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the halved lemon and Old Bay seasoning to the boiling water.

Cook the Shrimp

Add the large shrimp to the pot and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.

Chill the Shrimp

Remove the shrimp from the pot and immediately place them in a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Let them chill for about 5 minutes, then drain and set aside.

Make the Cocktail Sauce

Combine Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine the ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce.

Season to Taste

Mix well and add salt to taste. Adjust the seasoning as needed.

Serve

Plate the Dish

Arrange the chilled shrimp on a serving platter and serve with the cocktail sauce on the side.
