Method

Prepare Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a patty, approximately ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

Cook Burger Patty

  1. 3

    Preheat Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Continue cooking for another 4-5 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).

Prepare Toppings

  1. 5

    Slice Vegetables

While the patties are cooking, slice the tomato and onion into thin rings. Rinse the lettuce leaves and pat dry. Set aside.

  2. 6

    Prepare Pickles

Drain the pickles if using whole pickles and slice them into rounds.

Assemble Burger

  1. 7

    Toast Buns

If desired, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster.

  2. 8

    Build Your Rok Burger

Start with the bottom bun, layer lettuce, the cooked patty with melted cheese, sliced tomatoes, pickles, and onions. Add ketchup and mustard to taste. Top with the other half of the bun.
