Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Clean the Oysters

Rinse the oysters under cold water to remove any sand and debris. Scrub the shells with a brush.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Garlic Butter

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and finely chopped shallots, and sauté until fragrant.

  3. 3

    Add Wine and Seasoning

Pour in the white wine and add black pepper. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Grill or Roast the Oysters

Preheat the grill or oven to medium-high heat. Place oysters on the grill or a baking sheet. Spoon the garlic butter mixture over the oysters.

  2. 5

    Cook Until Opened

Cook the oysters for about 5-7 minutes or until the shells open. Discard any that do not open.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate and Serve

Carefully remove the cooked oysters from the grill or oven. Serve with lemon wedges, hot sauce, and a sprinkle of fresh parsley.
