Cooking Directions
1. Prepare the Patties
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and chipotle peppers in adobo sauce. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
2. Form the Patties
Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties that are slightly larger than the burger buns.
3. Cook the Patties
Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Monterey Jack cheese on each patty to melt.
4. Prepare the Buns
While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster.
5. Assemble the Burger
On the bottom half of each bun, layer lettuce, a cooked patty with melted cheese, sliced avocado, and tomato. Top with a dollop of sour cream and garnish with fresh cilantro before placing the top half of the bun.
6. Serve
Serve the Bad Hombre Burger with your favorite sides and enjoy!
