Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Peppers

Wash the banana peppers thoroughly. Cut the tops off and carefully remove the seeds, creating a hollow space for the filling.

Filling Preparation

  1. 3

    Cook the Filling

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent (about 3-4 minutes).

  2. 4

    Add the Ground Beef

Add the ground beef to the skillet, cooking until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat if necessary.

  3. 5

    Mix in Rice and Seasonings

Stir in the cooked rice, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine and remove from heat.

  4. 6

    Add Cheese

Stir in shredded cheddar cheese into the filling mixture until melted and evenly distributed.

Stuffing the Peppers

  1. 7

    Stuff the Peppers

Carefully stuff each banana pepper with the beef and cheese filling until they are generously filled.

  2. 8

    Top with Parmesan

Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top of each stuffed pepper.

Baking

  1. 9

    Bake the Peppers

Place the stuffed peppers in a baking dish and cover with aluminum foil. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.

  2. 10

    Remove Foil and Continue Baking

After 25 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the tops are golden and bubbly.

Garnishing

  1. 11

    Garnish

Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
