Wash the Greens
Thoroughly wash the romaine lettuce and spinach under cold running water. Drain and pat dry with paper towels.

Chop the Vegetables
Cut the cherry tomatoes in half. Dice the cucumber and bell pepper into bite-sized pieces. Thinly slice the red onion.

Pit and slice the avocado into cubes. Core and chop the apple into small pieces.

In a dry skillet over medium heat, toast the sunflower seeds and walnuts until they are golden and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes. Stir frequently to prevent burning.

In a large salad bowl, combine the romaine lettuce, spinach, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, bell pepper, red onion, avocado, and apple.

Sprinkle the toasted sunflower seeds and walnuts over the salad mixture.

In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper.
