Tea Base

Sweetening (Optional)

Method

Brewing the Tea

  1. 1

    Boil the Water

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Steep the Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove it from the heat and add 4 black tea bags. Let them steep for 5-7 minutes depending on your desired strength.

  3. 3

    Remove Tea Bags

After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags from the pot. You can gently press them against the side of the pot to extract more flavor.

Sweetening the Tea (Optional)

  1. 4

    Add Sweetener

If you prefer sweetened tea, add 1 cup of granulated sugar or 0.5 cup of honey to the hot tea and stir until dissolved. For a refreshing twist, add a few slices of lemon.

Cooling and Serving

  1. 5

    Cool the Tea

Allow the brewed tea to cool to room temperature. Once cooled, you can refrigerate it for about 1 hour if you want it extra cold.

  2. 6

    Serve the Tea

Fill a glass with 2 cups of ice cubes. Pour the cooled tea over the ice. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
