Method
Dough Preparation
- 1
Activate the Yeast
In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- 2
Mix the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until a dough begins to form.
- 3
Knead the Dough
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 4
Let it Rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours or until doubled in size.
Garlic Butter Preparation
- 5
Melt the Butter
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and cook for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- 6
Finish the Garlic Butter
Remove from heat and stir in chopped parsley and salt. Set aside.
Shaping and Baking
- 7
Shape the Knots
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a rope about 8-10 inches long, then tie it into a knot.

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
