Method
Preparing Rocco's Secret Sauce
- 1
Mix the Sauce
In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, hot sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well blended. Adjust seasoning to taste.
Preparing the Burger
- 2
Form the Patties
Take the ground beef and divide it into two equal portions. Form each portion into a round patty that is about 3/4 inch thick.
- 3
Season the Patties
Season both sides of each patty with salt and pepper to taste.
- 4
Cook the Patties
Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip them and place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the burger is cooked to your desired doneness.
Assembling the Burger
- 5
Prepare the Buns
While the patties are cooking, you can toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
- 6
Add Toppings
On the bottom half of each toasted bun, spread a generous amount of Rocco's secret sauce. Add a leaf of lettuce, a slice of tomato, a few onion slices, and pickles.
- 7
Complete the Burger
Place the cooked beef patty with melted cheese on top of the toppings. Add the top half of the bun to complete the burger.
