Method

Onion Jam Preparation

  1. 1

    Sauté the Onions

In a medium skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and sauté until they are soft and translucent, about 10-15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Add Sweetness and Flavor

Stir in the brown sugar, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 10-15 minutes until the jam is thick and caramelized. Remove from heat and let cool.

Seed and Fruit Crisps Preparation

  1. 3

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a bowl, combine whole wheat flour, flaxseeds, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, and salt.

  2. 4

    Add Wet Ingredients

Add olive oil and water to the dry mixture and stir until a dough forms. If the dough is too dry, add a little more water.

  3. 5

    Roll Out and Bake

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll the dough out on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick. Cut into desired shapes and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Brie Preparation

  1. 6

    Fire Roast the Brie

Preheat your grill or oven. Place the Brie cheese on a piece of foil and roast it for about 10 minutes, until it is soft and gooey.

Serving

  1. 7

    Assemble the Dish

Place the fire-roasted Brie on a serving platter. Top with the homemade onion jam and serve with the seed and fruit crisps.
