Method

Steak and Tortilla Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the steak with salt and pepper. Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until it reaches the desired doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly.

  2. 2

    Warm Tortillas

While the steak is resting, place the flour tortillas on a skillet over low heat for about 30 seconds on each side, or until warm and pliable.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Steak Burro

On each warmed tortilla, layer the sliced steak, shredded cheese, guacamole, black beans, and rice. Roll the tortilla tightly to enclose the filling.

Red Sauce and Serving

  1. 4

    Add Red Sauce

Place the rolled burritos in a baking dish and pour the red sauce over the top, ensuring each burrito is generously coated.

  2. 5

    Bake (optional)

If desired, bake the burritos in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 10-15 minutes until heated through and the cheese is melted.

French Fries Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare Potatoes

Peel and cut the potatoes into thin strips for fries. Place in a bowl of cold water for 30 minutes to soak.

  2. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 180°C (350°F). Drain and dry the potatoes, then fry in batches for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels. Season with salt to taste.
