Preparing the Base

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk them together until well mixed.

Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Wash the fresh berries thoroughly and pat them dry with a paper towel.

In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Set aside.

Once the cake is completely cool, cut it into squares. Top each square with a dollop of whipped cream, a handful of fresh berries, and a drizzle of chocolate sauce.
