Bottled Sodas (per bottle)
Service Garnish & Supplies (per bottle served)
Method
Bottled Sodas (per bottle)
- 1
Chill bottles
Refrigerate Boylan's bottled sodas for at least 2–4 hours before service, or store at 36–40°F (2–4°C). For faster chilling, place bottles in ice water for 20–30 minutes.
- 2
Inspect bottle
Check the bottle cap and label for damage. Ensure the bottle is unopened and the liquid is clear (or as expected for the flavor).
- 3
Service Garnish & Glass Service
- 4
Prepare glass
If serving in a glass, fill a 12 oz highball with 1 cup of fresh ice. Use clean ice and avoid overfilling—leave about 1 inch from the rim for pouring.
- 5
- 6
Pour soda
Open the bottle carefully to avoid foaming. Tilt the glass at a 45° angle and pour the soda slowly down the side to preserve carbonation. Stop pouring when the liquid reaches about 1/2 inch from the rim to avoid overflow.
- 7
Present to guest
Place the bottle (if not poured) or the filled glass on a coaster. Add a paper straw or stirring spoon and a napkin. Mention the flavor plainly (for example, 'Boylan's Cane Cola') and ask if they'd like ice or a lemon wedge.
