Preparation
Make the Honey Simple Syrup
In a small saucepan, combine equal parts honey and water. Heat over low heat until the honey is fully dissolved. Allow to cool before using.
Prepare the Glass
Chill a rocks glass or coupe by filling it with ice water. Set aside while you prepare the cocktail.

Combine Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add the Breckenridge Bourbon, Aperol, Averna, and honey simple syrup.
Shake the Cocktail
Shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well chilled.
Garnishing
Add Garnish
Twist the orange peel over the drink to release its oils, then drop it in as a garnish.
