Method
Biscuit Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- 2
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- 3
Cut in Butter
Add the tablespoon of unsalted butter to the dry ingredients. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- 4
Add Goat Cheese
Gently fold in the crumbled goat cheese into the flour mixture, being careful not to over-mix.
- 5
Add Buttermilk
Pour in the buttermilk and stir until just combined. The dough will be somewhat sticky but should hold together.
- 6
Scoop Biscuits
Using a large spoon or ice cream scoop, drop heaping spoonfuls of the biscuit dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving some space between each biscuit.
- 7
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
- 8
Cool
Remove from the oven and let the biscuits cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
Honey Butter Preparation
- 9
Combine Ingredients
In a small bowl, mix the softened unsalted butter, honey, and a pinch of salt until smooth and well combined.
- 10
Serve
Transfer the honey butter to a serving dish and set aside.
Jam Preparation
- 11
Prepare Jam
Open the jar of seasonal fruit jam and set it on the table for serving.
