Hot Honey BBQ Sauce
Method
Preparing the Chicken Wings
- 1
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). This ensures the wings will cook evenly and get crispy.
- 2
Step 2: Prepare the Wings
In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Toss until the wings are evenly coated.
- 3
Step 3: Arrange on Baking Sheet
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup. Place a wire rack on top of the baking sheet, and arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer on the rack.
- 4
Step 4: Bake the Wings
Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, turning them halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
Making the Hot Honey BBQ Sauce
- 5
Step 5: Combine Sauce Ingredients
In a medium saucepan, combine honey, BBQ sauce, hot sauce, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, and salt. Stir until well combined.
- 6
Step 6: Heat the Sauce
Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is heated through and slightly thickened.
Coating and Serving
- 7
Step 7: Coat the Wings
Once the wings are done baking, remove them from the oven and place them in a large mixing bowl. Pour the hot honey BBQ sauce over the wings and toss gently to coat.
- 8
Step 8: Serve
Transfer the coated wings to a serving platter. Optionally, garnish with chopped parsley or sesame seeds. Serve immediately and enjoy!
