Preparation Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Espresso
Brew the espresso coffee and let it cool to room temperature.
- 2
Make the Mascarpone Mixture
In a bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and granulated sugar until the mixture is pale and creamy. Add the mascarpone cheese and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- 3
Dip Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger in the cooled espresso, making sure not to soak them. Arrange them in a single layer at the bottom of two serving glasses.
- 4
Layer the Mixture
Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers in each glass.
- 5
Repeat Layers
Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers on top of the mascarpone mixture, followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.
- 6
Chill
Cover the glasses with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
- 7
Serve
Before serving, dust the top of each tiramisu with cocoa powder and garnish with grated dark chocolate.
