Empanada Filling

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and minced garlic, sauté until translucent.

  2. 2

    Cook the Beef

Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 3

    Add Spices and Vegetables

Stir in diced potatoes, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 10 minutes until the potatoes are tender.

  4. 4

    Combine Other Ingredients

Once the potatoes are cooked, remove from heat and stir in chopped boiled eggs, green olives, and golden raisins. Allow the mixture to cool.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Empanadas

Roll out empanada dough and cut into circles. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each circle. Fold, seal, and crimp the edges.

  6. 6

    Cook the Empanadas

Fry in hot oil until golden brown on both sides, or bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes.
