Pour 60 ml Michter's Small Batch Bourbon into a mixing glass.
Sweeteners & Bitters

Add 7.5 ml simple syrup and 2 dashes Angostura bitters to the mixing glass.

If you like a brighter aroma, add 1 dash orange bitters (optional).
Ice & Garnish

Fill a rocks glass with one large ice cube.

Stir the bourbon with ice in the mixing glass for about 20-30 seconds to chill and dilute to taste.
Garnish

Strain the mixture from the mixing glass into the prepared rocks glass over the ice.

Express oils from an orange twist over the drink, rub along the rim, then drop the twist into the glass. Add a Luxardo cherry if desired.
