Patty selection and seasoning
Decide whether to use Wagyu beef patties or plant-based burger patties. You will use one patty type per Burger; two patties per serving. If using Wagyu patties, lightly season with salt and pepper.

Cook plant-based patties
If using plant-based patties, cook in a lightly oiled skillet according to package directions, typically 3-4 minutes per side until browned and heated through. Rest 2 minutes.

Melt cheese on patties (optional)
If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking and cover briefly to melt.

Arrange condiments
Set out ketchup, mayonnaise, and mustard. You can mix or layer condiments on the buns to taste.

Cook bacon (optional)
If using bacon, cook in a skillet until crispy. Transfer to paper towels to drain excess fat.
