Mash bananas
In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until mostly smooth.

Whisk wet ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract into the mashed bananas until fully combined and pale.

Whisk dry ingredients
In another bowl, whisk all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon together until evenly distributed.

Combine wet with melted butter
Stir the melted unsalted butter into the banana-sugar mixture until just incorporated.

Fold dry into wet
Gently fold the dry ingredient mixture into the wet batter in batches, until no streaks of flour remain. Do not overmix.

Whip butter for serving
While the loaf bakes, whip the softened unsalted butter with a pinch of salt until light and fluffy. Cover and refrigerate if not serving immediately.

Cool before slicing
Let the loaf cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely before slicing into 1/2-inch slices.

Serve slices warm with a generous dollop of whipped butter on top for a rich finish.
