Method

Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Burger Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Form the mixture into 4 equal patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the smoked bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  3. 3

    Grill the Patties

In the same skillet, add olive oil and increase the heat to medium-high. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Melt the Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of aged cheddar cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.

  5. 5

    Toast the Pretzel Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the pretzel buns and toast them lightly in the oven or on a skillet until golden brown.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Burgers

On the bottom half of each pretzel bun, layer the coleslaw, the cheesy burger patty, crispy bacon, and a drizzle of honey mustard. Top with the other half of the pretzel bun.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve immediately with additional honey mustard on the side for dipping, if desired.
