Method
Meatball Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Meat Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, minced garlic, egg, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until well combined.
- 2
Form the Meatball
Shape the meat mixture into a giant meatball, approximately 6-8 inches in diameter. Place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 3
Bake the Meatball
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake the meatball for about 45-50 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).
- 4
Prepare the Marinara Sauce
While the meatball is baking, heat some marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat until warmed through.
- 5
Assemble the Dish
Once the meatball is done baking, slice it into thick pieces. Serve with warm marinara sauce, topped with slices of mozzarella cheese and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese.
