Method

Pork Filling

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Rub the pork shoulder with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and brown sugar. Place the minced garlic, sliced onion, and apple cider vinegar in the bottom of a roasting pan. Place the seasoned pork shoulder on top.

  2. 2

    Roast the Pork

Pour the soy sauce over the pork and cover the pan with aluminum foil. Roast in the oven for around 4 hours, or until the pork is tender and can easily be shredded with a fork. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes.

  3. 3

    Shred the Pork

Using two forks, shred the pork into bite-sized pieces. Mix it with the juices from the pan.

Spicy Mayonnaise

  1. 4

    Make the Spicy Mayonnaise

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, Sriracha sauce, and lemon juice. Mix well until smooth, and adjust the spiciness by adding more Sriracha if desired.

Bun Assembly

  1. 5

    Prepare the Vegetables

Slice the tomato and cucumber. Wash and dry the lettuce leaves.

  2. 6

    Assemble the Buns

Take a soft bun, spread a generous amount of spicy mayonnaise on the bottom. Add a layer of lettuce, followed by slices of tomato and cucumber. Top with a portion of shredded pork and another dollop of spicy mayonnaise. Place the top bun on and serve.
