Method

Brewing the Tea

  1. 1

    Boil the Water

In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil.

  2. 2

    Steep the Tea Leaves

Once boiling, remove the pot from heat and add 2 tablespoons of oolong tea leaves. Cover the pot and let it steep for 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Strain the Tea

After steeping, strain the tea into a pitcher to remove the leaves. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature.

Flavoring the Tea

  1. 4

    Add Sweetener

If desired, stir in 2 tablespoons of honey and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice into the cooled tea until fully dissolved.

  2. 5

    Infuse with Mint

Add fresh mint leaves to the tea for additional flavor. Let the tea sit for an additional 10 minutes to infuse.

Bottling the Tea

  1. 6

    Prepare Bottles

Ensure your glass bottles or jars are clean and sterilized. You can do this by washing them with hot, soapy water and rinsing thoroughly.

  2. 7

    Fill the Bottles

Pour the brewed tea into the prepared glass bottles or jars, leaving some space at the top.

  3. 8

    Seal and Store

Seal the bottles tightly and refrigerate. The bottled oolong tea can be stored in the fridge for up to a week.
