Method

Preparing the Tea

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium heat.

  2. 2

    Steep Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 4 teaspoons of green tea leaves. Cover the pot and let it steep for 3-5 minutes, depending on your taste preference.

  3. 3

    Strain Tea

After steeping, strain the tea leaves using a fine mesh strainer into a large pitcher to remove the leaves.

Sweetening the Tea

  1. 4

    Add Sweeteners

Add 2 tablespoons of honey and 1 tablespoon of agave syrup to the warm tea. Stir well until the sweeteners are fully dissolved.

Flavoring the Tea (Optional)

  1. 5

    Add Lemon Juice

If desired, add 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice to the tea for added flavor.

  2. 6

    Add Mint Leaves

Gently bruise 10 fresh mint leaves and add them to the tea. Stir lightly to infuse the mint flavor.

Cooling and Bottling

  1. 7

    Cool the Tea

Allow the tea to cool to room temperature. You can speed up this process by placing the pitcher in the refrigerator.

  2. 8

    Bottle the Tea

Once cooled, pour the green tea into clean bottles or jars, sealing them tightly.

  3. 9

    Refrigerate

Store the bottled green tea in the refrigerator and consume within a week for the best flavor.
