Wild Mushroom Topping

Method

Preparation of Wild Mushroom Bruschetta

  1. 1

    Sauté the Wild Mushrooms

In a skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the wild mushrooms to the skillet, stirring occasionally. Cook for about 5-7 minutes or until the mushrooms are tender and any moisture has evaporated.

  2. 2

    Season the Mixture

Add the fresh thyme leaves, salt, and black pepper to the skillet with the sautéed mushrooms. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Bread

While the mushrooms are cooking, preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Slice a baguette into 1 cm thick slices and arrange them on a baking sheet. Brush both sides lightly with olive oil and toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Bruschetta

Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the oven. Spoon the sautéed wild mushroom mixture onto each slice of bread. Top with grated parmesan cheese.

  5. 5

    Final Bake

Return the assembled bruschetta to the oven and bake for an additional 3-5 minutes until the cheese is melted and slightly golden.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your delicious wild mushroom bruschetta warm!
