Warm Baguette, Butter & Maldon Salt

Method

Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). This will be necessary to warm the baguette and create a delightful crust.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Baguette

Take the baguette and slice it in half lengthwise. If you prefer, you can also slice it into individual pieces, but keeping it whole will keep it warm longer.

  3. 3

    Warm the Baguette

Place the sliced baguette on a baking sheet and put it in the preheated oven. Warm for about 5-7 minutes, or until the crust is slightly crispy and the inside is warm.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Butter

While the baguette is warming, take the unsalted butter out of the refrigerator and allow it to soften at room temperature for about 10 minutes. This will make it easier to spread.

  5. 5

    Add Butter to Baguette

Once the baguette is warm, remove it from the oven. Spread the softened butter generously on the warm baguette halves or pieces while still hot.

  6. 6

    Sprinkle Maldon Salt

Finally, sprinkle Maldon sea salt over the buttered baguette according to your taste preferences. Enjoy the combination of warm, buttery bread and the flaky salt.
