Directions
- 1
Prepare the Fries
Start by washing and peeling the potatoes, then cut them into thin strips.
- 2
Soak the potato strips in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- 3
Drain and pat dry the potato strips with a towel.
- 4
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- 5
- 6
Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- 7
Cook the Burger Patty
While the fries are baking, shape the ground beef into two equal patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
- 8
Season both sides of the patties with salt and pepper.
- 9
- 10
Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium doneness, placing a slice of white cheddar on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
- 11
Assemble the Burger
Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
- 12
Spread a generous amount of remoulade sauce on the bottom half of each bun.
- 13
Place the cooked patty with melted cheese on top of the remoulade.
- 14
Add a scoop of house curry pickles on top of the patty.
- 15
Top with the other half of the bun and serve with the hand-cut fries on the side.
