Blackened Hawaiian Walu
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Fish
Pat the Hawaiian Walu fillets dry with a paper towel. Rub the blackening spice evenly over both sides of the fillets.
- 2
Cook the Fish
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned Walu fillets. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until the fish is cooked through and has a blackened crust. Remove from skillet and let rest.
- 3
Prepare the Sweet Potatoes
While the fish is cooking, prepare the crispy sweet potatoes by cutting them into wedges or cubes. Toss with a little olive oil, salt, and pepper, and bake in a preheated oven at 425°F (220°C) for about 25-30 minutes until crispy.
