Burger Patty
Fries
Method
Burger Patty Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Beef Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently with your hands until all ingredients are well combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the burger juicy.
- 2
Form the Patties
Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions. Shape each portion into a patty approximately ¾ inch thick. Use your thumb to make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.
- 3
- 4
Toast the Buns
While the patties are cooking, cut the burger buns in half and toast them on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
Fries Preparation
- 5
Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into thin strips (about 1/4 inch thick) to resemble fries.
- 6
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 7
Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches, being cautious not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove them with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- 8
Season the Fries
While the fries are still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste and toss to coat.
