Method
Acai base
Prepare frozen ingredients
If using acai packets, run the packet briefly under warm water to loosen, then break into chunks. Measure out frozen banana and acai so they blend smoothly.
Add acai purée, frozen banana slices, one fresh banana (broken into chunks), spirulina powder and almond milk to a high-speed blender.
Start blending on low, then ramp to high. Use short pulses if needed, scraping down the sides once, until the mixture is very thick and smooth. If the mixture is too stiff to blend, add additional almond milk 1 tablespoon at a time (up to 2–3 tbs / ~30–45 ml) until blades move; aim for a spoonable, soft-serve consistency rather than pourable.
Taste the base. If you want it sweeter, add honey or agave syrup and pulse once or twice to incorporate.
Transfer the blended acai base into a bowl and smooth the top with the back of a spoon. Work quickly so it remains cold and thick.
Toppings & assembly
Arrange toppings: place the fresh blueberries on one side of the bowl in a neat cluster.
Fan the thin banana slices along another section of the bowl so they slightly overlap.
Sprinkle the hemp granola across the remaining section of the bowl so you have distinct topping zones (blueberries, banana, granola).
If using, drizzle a teaspoon of almond butter over the granola or banana for extra richness.
Serve immediately with a spoon so the base stays cold and thick. Optionally garnish with extra hemp seeds or a few fresh mint leaves.
