Toppings
Method
Acai Base
Prep frozen fruit
Remove frozen acai purée packet(s) from the freezer to slightly soften for 1–2 minutes so it breaks up easier. Measure frozen strawberries and frozen banana halves.
Blend base
In a high-speed blender, add almond milk first (120 ml) to help the blades move, then add the frozen acai purée, frozen strawberries, frozen banana, and honey or maple syrup (1 tbs). Pulse to combine, then blend on high for 30–60 seconds, scraping down the sides as needed, until thick, smooth and spoonable. The texture should be thicker than a smoothie so it holds shape in a bowl; add up to 1–2 tbs additional almond milk only if too thick to blend.
Adjust sweetness & consistency
Taste the acai mixture and add more honey or maple syrup if desired (in 1/2 tbs increments). If too thin, add a few ice cubes or a small piece of frozen banana and re-blend briefly.
Assemble base in bowls
Divide the acai blend between two bowls (or one large bowl). Use a spatula to smooth the surface and create a shallow well for toppings.
Toppings & Finish
Prepare toppings
Rinse and drain fresh blueberries. Hull and thinly slice fresh strawberries if not already done. Measure out hemp granola and chia seeds.
Top the bowls
Evenly arrange 1/4 cup blueberries and 1/4 cup sliced strawberries on each bowl. Sprinkle approximately 3/8 cup hemp granola over each bowl (total 3/4 cup divided). Finish with 1/2 tsp chia seeds per bowl and a light drizzle (1/2 tsp) of honey or maple syrup if desired.
Serve
Serve immediately with a spoon. If not eating right away, cover and refrigerate for up to 1 hour; the texture may loosen over time.
