Base Fruits & Liquids
Functional Add-ins
Optional Garnish & Chill
Method
Prepare Fruit & Blend
Prep
Wash strawberries and mint (if using). Hull strawberries and remove watermelon rind and seeds. Cut watermelon into rough 1-inch pieces so it blends evenly.
Blend fruits
Place the diced watermelon (3 cups) and hulled strawberries (1 cup) into a blender. Add 1/2 cup of the filtered water to help the blender start. Blend on high until smooth and no large pieces remain, about 30–45 seconds depending on blender power.
Combine & Balance
Strain (optional)
If you prefer a smoother drink, pour the blended fruit through a fine-mesh strainer or chinois into a pitcher, pressing with a spatula to extract juice and discard pulp. This yields a clear, lightly pulpy hydrating beverage. If you like more fiber and texture, skip this step and keep the blended mix.
Dilute & flavor
Add the remaining 1.5 cups filtered water to the strained or unstrained fruit purée. Stir in fresh lime juice (2 tablespoons) until well incorporated.
Add functional ingredients
Immediately stir in the probiotic powder (1 tsp). If using a probiotic capsule, open and pour contents in, mixing thoroughly. Add a pinch of Himalayan pink salt and stir until dissolved. Taste and adjust: add up to another 1/2 tsp probiotic if recommended by the product (follow package guidance) or another small pinch of salt if you prefer a slightly more electrolyte-forward flavor.
Chill & Serve
Refrigerate the Melon Hydr8 for at least 20–30 minutes to chill and let flavors meld. If you need it immediately, add 1 cup ice to the pitcher and stir to cool (this will slightly dilute the drink).
Serve in tall glasses over ice if desired. Garnish each glass with a lime slice, a halved strawberry, and a few mint leaves. Stir before drinking to ensure probiotics are evenly distributed, and consume within 24–48 hours for best probiotic viability and freshness.
