Taco Preparation
- 1
Cook the Meat
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or chicken until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
- 2
Add Taco Seasoning
Drain excess fat if necessary, then add taco seasoning to the meat. Stir in 3/4 cup of water and bring to a simmer. Cook for an additional 5 minutes or until the sauce thickens slightly.
- 3
Prepare Taco Shells
While the meat is cooking, prepare the taco shells according to the package instructions for hard shells, or warm the soft tortillas in a dry skillet over low heat.
- 4
Assemble Tacos
Fill each taco shell or tortilla with the seasoned meat, then top with shredded lettuce, shredded cheese, and any additional toppings like sour cream or salsa.
- 5
Serve
Serve immediately while warm and enjoy your delicious tacos!
