Birria Burrito Ingredients

Method

Preparation Instructions

1

Prepare Birria

If you haven't done so already, cook the birria meat in a traditional style or use leftover birria. Shred the meat and set aside.

2

Warm the Tortillas

In a skillet over medium heat, warm the flour tortillas until soft and pliable, about 30 seconds per side.

3

Assemble the Burrito

On each tortilla, layer approximately 0.5 cups of birria, 0.25 cups of cooked rice, 0.25 cups of refried beans, and 0.25 cups of shredded cheese.

4

Add Toppings

Sprinkle chopped cilantro and diced onion over the fillings.

5

Roll the Burrito

Fold the sides of the tortilla inward and then roll it up from the bottom to enclose the filling completely.

6

Heat the Burrito

In the same skillet, place the burrito seam side down and grill for 2-3 minutes until golden and crispy. Flip and grill the other side.

7

Serve

Slice the burrito in half and serve with a side of consome de birria for dipping.
