Preparation Instructions
- 1
Cook the Meat
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or chicken until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- 2
Season the Meat
Add the taco seasoning and water to the cooked meat. Stir well and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for about 5-7 minutes until the mixture thickens.
- 3
Prepare Taco Shells
While the meat is cooking, preheat the oven as per the taco shell package instructions if necessary. Arrange the hard taco shells on a baking sheet.
- 4
Assemble the Tacos
Once the meat is ready, fill each hard taco shell with the meat mixture. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, and sliced jalapeños.
- 5
Serve
Serve the tacos immediately while they are hot. Enjoy with your favorite salsa or hot sauce, if desired.
