Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ice Cream

Scoop the vanilla ice cream into balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Freeze them for at least 2 hours until firm.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Coating

In a shallow dish, crush the corn flakes into smaller pieces. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, eggs, and milk until smooth.

  3. 3

    Coat the Ice Cream

Take the frozen ice cream balls out of the freezer. Dip each ball into the flour mixture, making sure it's fully coated, then roll it in the crushed corn flakes, pressing gently to adhere. Repeat for all the ice cream balls.

  4. 4

    Fry the Ice Cream

In a deep fryer or a large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Carefully add the coated ice cream balls in batches, frying for about 30 seconds until golden brown. Remove them with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain.

  5. 5

    Serve

Place each fried ice cream ball in a serving dish. Top with your choice of chocolate syrup, strawberry syrup, honey, or a dusting of cinnamon. Add a dollop of whipped cream on top and serve immediately.
