Directions
- 1
Prepare the Banana Peppers
Cut the tops off the banana peppers and remove the seeds. Rinse them under cold water and set aside.
- 2
Make the Cheese Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- 3
Stuff the Peppers
Using a small spoon, fill each banana pepper with the cheese mixture. Do not overfill.
- 4
Wrap with Bacon
Wrap each stuffed pepper with a piece of bacon, securing the ends with toothpicks if necessary.
- 5
Fry the Peppers
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the bacon-wrapped peppers and cook until the bacon is crispy and the peppers are tender, about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally.
- 6
Prepare the Plate
On a serving platter, create a bed of shredded lettuce. Place the fried banana peppers on top of the lettuce.
- 7
Serve
Drizzle sour cream over the stuffed peppers and serve immediately.
