Blueberry Concentrate

Method
Blueberry Concentrate
Make blueberry syrup
Place 1 cup blueberries, 2 tbs sugar, and 1 cup water in a small saucepan. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, and cook until berries have softened and released their juices, about 6–8 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in 1 tsp fresh lemon juice to brighten flavor. Let the mixture cool for 5 minutes.
Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl or jar, pressing on solids to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard solids (or reserve for yogurt/toppings). You should have roughly 2–3 tablespoons of concentrated syrup; measure and adjust sweetness if desired.
Tea Base
Brew a strong black tea (such as Assam or Ceylon). Use about 1.5 tsp loose leaf or 1 tea bag per 8–10 oz water. Steep 3–5 minutes depending on desired strength, then remove tea bag or strain leaves.
Allow the brewed tea to cool slightly if making iced tea. For a 9 oz serving, measure 9 oz (about 1.125 cups) of brewed tea.
Assembly & Garnish
Fill a tall glass with ice (about 1 cup).
Pour 9 oz of brewed tea over the ice.
Add 1.5 oz (approximately 3 tablespoons) of the blueberry concentrate syrup to the tea. Stir gently to combine. Taste and adjust: add up to 1 additional tablespoon syrup if you prefer sweeter/stronger blueberry flavor.
Garnish with a lemon slice and 4–6 fresh blueberries. Serve immediately.
