Prepare the Coffee
Brew strong coffee and let it cool to room temperature.

Whisk the Egg Yolks
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and granulated sugar until the mixture is thick and pale.

Add Mascarpone
Gently fold the mascarpone cheese into the egg yolk mixture until smooth and creamy.

Prepare the Ladyfingers
Combine the brewed coffee and rum (or coffee liqueur) in a shallow dish. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

Layer the Tiramisu
In a rectangular dish, lay half of the soaked ladyfingers at the bottom. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over them. Repeat the process with the remaining ladyfingers and mascarpone.

Chill the Tiramisu
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

Serve
Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and cut into squares to serve chilled.
