Method
Preparation of Fish
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure it's hot enough for baking the swai fillets.
- 2
Prepare the Fillets
Rinse the swai fillets under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- 3
Season the Fillets
Drizzle olive oil over the fillets and season with salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Make sure to coat both sides evenly.
- 4
Bake the Fillets
Place the seasoned fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
Preparation of Cheese Sauce
- 5
- 6
Add Milk
Slowly pour in the milk while continuously whisking to prevent lumps. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently until the mixture thickens.
- 7
Incorporate Cream Cheese
Add the cream cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
- 8
Add Cheddar and Seasonings
Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Continue stirring until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is creamy.
Assembly
- 9
Top the Fillets
Once the fillets are done baking, remove them from the oven and generously spoon the cheese sauce over each fillet.
- 10
Garnish and Serve
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
