Preparing the Bread

Slice the Baguette
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the French baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices.

Brush with Olive Oil
Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush both sides with extra virgin olive oil.

Toast the Bread
Bake in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until the slices are golden and crispy.
Preparing the Topping

Chop the Tomatoes
While the bread is toasting, chop the Roma tomatoes into small pieces and place in a mixing bowl.

Add Basil and Garlic
Tear the fresh basil leaves and add them to the bowl. Mince the garlic cloves and add them as well.

Season the Mixture
Add salt and black pepper to the tomato mixture and drizzle with a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil. Mix well to combine.
Assembling the Bruschetta

Top the Toasts
Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly. Spoon the tomato mixture generously onto each slice.

Serve Immediately
Serve the bruschetta immediately while the bread is still warm. Enjoy!
